A B’nai B’rith Flood Relief Committee to aid persons who suffered from the floods in this area was organized here and a B’nai B’rith mobile canteen was established to serve food to the volunteer workers on duty night and day in the flood zones.

B’nai B’rith assistance to victims driven from their homes by the raging Missouri and Mississippi Rivers is given on a non-sectarian basis. The B’nai B’rith Flood Relief Committee, headed by Daniel Brenner, received a special grant of $5,000 from the headquarters of the organization in Washington and is working in close touch with B’nai B’rith units in other areas which have spontaneously contributed funds to the aid program. Jewish institutions in Kansas City escaped damage in the flood.
