U.S. Senator Hubert H. Humphrey was awarded a citation yesterday in behalf of his efforts for passage of civil rights legislation by the Metropolitan Council of B’nai B’rith. Sen. Humphrey, addressing a luncheon meeting at the Hotel Astor, predicted Congressional enactment in the near future of bills designed to liberalize the Displaced Persons Act of 1948 and to set up a fair employment practices commission.
