The B’nai B’rith has shipped $3,420,000 worth of food, clothing, medicine and other supplies to Israel within the past six months end expects to reach the $4,000,000 mark by early spring, B’nai B’rith president Frank Goldman announced here this week-end.
The food was collected under the B’nai B’rith’s “Aid to the People of Israel” emergency appeal. The contributions, which came from B’nai B’rith groups throughout the United States and Canada, include food, clothing, medicine, ambulances, jeeps, trucks, machinery, tools and knitted goods. The B’nai B’rith is also furnishing recreation and occupational therapy rooms for army veterans in the 15 Israeli hospitals.
