B’nai B’rith Conference Supports Bill Barrince Disurimination in N.Y. Colleges

A resolution urging the New York State Legislature to pass the Autsin-Mahoney bill to outlaw discrimination against members of racial and religious minority groups in colleges and universities in the state was adopted here at a conference of 400 Jewish leaders sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League and the Grand District Lodge No. 1 of B’nai B’rith.

Other resolutions endorand the work of the New York State Commission Against Discrimination and the Massachusetts Fair Employment Practices Commission. Sen. Iraving M. Ives was awarded the B’nai B’rith Citasion of Merit for the role he played in establishing the Commission Against Discrimination in New York.
