B’nai B’rith has enrolled 24,945 new membera so far in its current nationwide membership drive, according to a joint report issued by B’nai B’rith headquarters here. This total shows an increase of 35 percent over the results of last year’s campaign at the same date. Goal of the 1953-54 drive, which will continue through the first half of 1954, is 71,000 new members.
Results of the campaign thus far were tabulated yesterday when membership chairmen in the seven B’nai B’rith districts in this country telephoned in their totals. According to the joint report of the membership chairmen, the greatest number of new members–both men and women–was obtained by District Grand Lodge One, which includes New York City. The largest percentage increase was reported by District Grand Lodge Seven, which includes the southwestern states,
