Senator Alfred M. Cohen, president of the B’nai B’rith, and Dr. I. M. Rubinow, secretary of the organization, sailed Friday night on the French liner Paris to attend the London conference called to draw up a program for the relief and rehabilitation of German Jewry.
Among the American organizations which will be represented are the American Jewish Committee and the American Jewish Congress.
“The B’nai B’rith is glad to avail itself of the opportunity of meeting the representatives of world-wide Jewish organizations,” said Senator Cohen, “principally to discuss every angle of the Jewish situation and what is best for the Jew.
“The conference will afford an unprecedented and unusual opportunity to make contacts and to exchange views between the representatives of the great Jewish organizations of the world.”
Also on the Paris were Dr. Samuel Margoshes, editor of The Day, and James Waterman Wise, editor of Opinion, who will represent the American Jewish Congress at the London conference.
The London conference had been called jointly by the Joint Foreign Committee of the British Board of Deputies and the Anglo-Jewish Association, the Alliance Israelite Universelle of France, the American Jewish Committee, the Committee of Jewish Delegations, and the American Jewish Congress.
