Ratification of the Pittsburgh agreement looking toward creation of a single agency for defense of Jewish rights was announced by B’nai B’rith, international fraternal organization, in a telegram Friday from President Henry Monsky to Edgar J. Kaufmann, leader of the Pittsburgh group responsible for bringing America’s four leading Jewish bodies together. The American Jewish Committee, the American Jewish Congress and the Jewish Labor Committee had previously ratified the agreement, adopted at a meeting in Pittsburgh last Monday.
A conference to put into effect the terms of the agreement is being planned by the Pittsburgh group.
