A B’nai B’rith Shrine in the Martyrs’ Forest in the nearby Judean Hills, was dedicated today in the presence of representatives of the Government and Israeli and American Zionist leaders.
Dr. S. Z. Cahane, director-general of the Israel Ministry for Religious Affairs, who represented the Government and the Israeli Grand Lodge of B’nai B’rith, stressed that the Martyrs’ Forest, which is dedicated to the memory of the 6,000,000 Jews killed in the Nazi holocaust, was an effective answer to Adolf Eichmann’s "final solution," since the reafforestation of Israel marks a new beginning of the age-old epic of the Jewish people.
