Another new outpost looms for the B’nai B’rith in its extension of the “fraternal chain.”
Honolulu promises to be the next distant point to boast a lodge of the international brotherhood. Richard E. Gutstadt, executive director of District Grand Lodge No. 4, will sail from here March 8 for the island city. He goes on a mission assigned by the general committee in response to a request from Jewish residents of the islands for permission to form a B’nai B’rith lodge. Gutstadt has instructions to grant that permission if he finds that the situation warrants such a course.
