Seven LSM’s (Landing Craft Medium) were formally “adopted” today by the B’nai B’rith War Service Council, at ceremonies at a Navy pier here. Crews of each boat will receive letters, packages, and cigarettes from members of the B’nai B’rith lodges in the New York area. Speakers at the ceremonies included Rear-Admiral Edward V. Reed, Capt. Maurice Witherspoon, Lieut-Com. Thomas W. Walsh, Lieut,-Com. C. Russel Lea, Miss Ann Vogel, of the B’nai B’rith Ship’s Service Committee, and S. Arthur Glixon, chairman of the B’nai B’rith War Council.
