For the first time, Jewish youth in Belgium have formed a chapter of the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization, it was announced today by BBYO headquarters here. Organized in Brussels with a charter membership of 20 young men and women, it will function as a chapter of B’nai B’rith Young Adults. President of the new youth group is a 22-year-old medical student, Theo Brat.
It was announced at the same time that in Sydney, Australia, 50 boys of high school age have formed a chapter of Aleph Zadik Aleph. President of this group is Peter Sommer. A chapter of B’nai B’rith Girls is also being organized in the same city.
