Israel will continue its efforts to negotiate differences with the Arabs, but at the same time will maintain a “respectable defensive strength in order to deter again aggression against Israel” Simcha Pratt; Israel’s Consul General in New York, declared here last night.
Mr. Pratt spoke to the opening session of the 49th annual convention here of B’nai Zion, American Zionist fraternal group which is dedicated to Israel’s 10th anniversary and its own golden jubilee. Jacob R. Sensibar of Chicago was presented with a B’nai Zion citation for “outstanding service to Israel” in the completion of the Huleh swamp drainage project by his company, Construction Aggregates.
