The action of the British Non-Zionists at the Basle meeting of the Jewish Agency for Palestine was approved today by the board of Jewish Deputies at its last summer session after listening to a report submitted by Rabbi Israel Daiches.
Promising to lend support to the Jewish Agency, the Board of Jewish deputies expressed satisfaction with the Agency’s reiterated desire for cooperation with the British government in the Palestine work and with the fact that the president of the Board of Jewish Deputies, d’Avigdor Goldsmid, now occupies the position of chairman of the Council of the Jewish Agency. “The Agency will be a great power for good,” Rabbi Daiches reported.
