The Board of Deputies of British Jews approved today a plan for carrying out basic demographic investigation and researches to establish statistics of births, marriages and deaths in the British Jewish community aimed at producing, as far as is practicable, an accurate demographic and sociological picture of the community.

The Board rejected a proposal calling for a silent march to the German Embassy to protest recent Bonn policies but decided to arrange for a deputation to call on the Embassy with a protest.
