A unit to undertake statistical and demographic research on British Jewry has been established by the Board of Deputies of British Jews, in cooperation with the Institute of Contemporary Jewry of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
The unit will concentrate during its first year on collecting and evaluating statistical data aimed at getting better estimates of the size of Jewish communities in London and the provinces.
JTA has documented Jewish history in real-time for over a century. Keep our journalism strong by joining us in supporting independent, award-winning reporting.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
