Bolivia has opened her doors to immigration of carefully selected refugees from European lands of persecution. Latest instructions received by European consulates of the South American republic two weeks ago state that immigration of foreigners will be permitted without limit, the Consul-General in London advised the J.T.A., but each application for a visa must be referred to Bolivia for consideration by The Minister of Immigration.
Bolivia is anxious to receive the following categories of immigrants:
(I) Equipped and trained agriculturists; (2) skilled technicians; (3) capitalists with at least $5,000. To immigrants who qualify as farmers, Bolivia is ready to grant a house and farm. A number of Jewish refugees have already migrated to the South American Republic, but the infiltration is proceeding slowly.
