Mario Gutierrez, the Foreign Minister of Bolivia, arrived here last night for a week-long visit to Israel. He was welcomed at the airport by Foreign Minister Abba Eban who said he hoped the visit would strengthen the ties between Israel and Bolivia. Gutierrez responded by observing that “despite the great distance there are close, friendly relations between Bolivia and Israel.” During his visit Gutierrez will sign agreements for cooperation in the cultural and mutual aid fields.
