The Bolivian Government today conferred upon Rabbi Gunter Friedlander, spiritual leader of the Bolivian Jewish community, the Order of Condor de los Andes, the country’s highest national award, for the role which Rabbi Fried-lander played in securing the recent technical cooperation and cultural exchange agreement between Bolivia and Israel. Rabbi Friedlander is the first Jew ever to have been honored with Bolivia’s highest order.
