Bolivian Senate Rejects Bill to Curb Jewish Entry

The Senate has rejected, by a note of 15 to 5 a bill to restrict Jewish immigration.

Jewish entry has been limited by an order of Immigration Commissioner Carlos Johnson issued on May 3. In October Public Works Minister Justo Rodas Eguino expressed the hope that the Government would amend the regulations to eliminate the racial discrimination aspect.
