Bomb Exploded in Jewish Quarter of Havana; Causes Considerable Property Damage

A bomb was exploded last night in Compostela street in the heart of the Jewish quarter and caused considerable property damage.

Opponents of the present regime are suspected of having thrown the bomb with the purpose of provoking political disturbances.

The bomb was exploded in a drug store and caused considerable damage to neighboring Jewish property.

A lock factory, owned by the brothers Benjamin and Chaim Terner, and their dwelling which adjoined, suffered. No one was injured.

The barber shop of a Jew, Leib Arluks, the leather factory of the brothers Sheftel, and the warehouse of the brothers Berezdiwin also suffered.

The bombers were not apprehended.
