The placing of a bomb in a Jewish Synagogue in the city Josasel, Country of Arad, Transylvania, was an act of revenge on the part of modernist Jews against orthodox Jews, according to a statement issued by Prince Bibesco, Roumanian Minister to the United States.

“According to the latest jucicial inquiries,” Prince Bibesco stated, “the guilt for the crime seems to rest on a man called Sirbu, who was instigated to perpetrate this crime by a Modernist Jew, seeking revenge against the Orthodox Jews, who were the owners of the Synagogue. It was never a question of aiming at anybody’s life”
