A bomb outrage is reported from Germiston (Transvaal), where one of the doors of the synagogue was splintered and blown in. Windows were shattered and the explosion was heard more than a mile away. Soon after the explosion the local police arrived, and it was found that a charge had been placed near the bottom corner of the door. Damage was slight and the synagogue’s activities will not be in any way diminished. Police investigations are continuing.
