A new building for the Bombay Jewish school costing 150,000 rupees has just been opened. A considerable portion of the cost was borne by Sir Elly Kadoori, the Jewish philanthropist and millionaire of Shanghai.

Plans are also being made to extend the Sir Jacob Sassoon High School for Jewish children to accommodate 80 more pupils. This school has at present about 400 Jewish boys and girls.
