Baron von Mahs, a high official of the West German Ministry of Economics, was today appointed head of the division in the Ministry concerned with the procurement and supply of goods to Israel under the German-Israel reparations pact. He succeeds Dr. Carl Mueller-Graaf, highly respected by the personnel of the Israel Purchasing Mission, who was transferred to Vienna as head of the German trade mission to Austria.
