A button-size boobytrap was found early today in Jerusalem on the street on which the home of Prime Minister Levi Eshkol is located but some distance from the home. A citizen who found the explosive called police who dismantled it. A search of the area found no other explosives.
Officials also reported that a civilian jeep belonging to the Natural Reserves Authority hit a mine on the Golan Heights yesterday, injuring the three occupants, a man and two women. The man was listed today at the hospital as seriously injured. Authorities began an investigation to determine whether the mine had been newly planted or was one left over from the 1967 Six-Day War.
An Arab woman was injured slightly today when a bomb planted in a truck in the Gaza marketplace exploded. Damage was slight. Later, two hand grenades were found near the military governor’s office and were removed before they were detonated.
