The Higher School Council today ordered all school libraries to remove all books by Jewish authors, and all books of origin identifiable as Marxist Communist, Pacifist, Masonic, pro-league of Nations, atheist, ultra-mystic, including word by the sect of Scrutators of the Bible, Seventh-Day Adventists, or christian scientists.
Three Jewish businessmen were arrested today. Jellinex, known as “Vienna’s shoe king,” was accused of having debts of 60,000 marks (nominally $24,000), and Abraham Mentor director of a women’s apparel shop, of having “gigantic debts.” M. Teichert, a hatter was charged with fraudulent practices.
