Senator William E. Borah, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, reiterated his keen sympathy with the Jews of Soviet Russia in an interview he granted Dr. Stephen S. Wise, honorary president of the American Jewish Congress, and Bernard G. Richards, executive director, who submitted the resolution adopted at the recent session of the American Jewish Congress, protesting against the suppression of Judaism and the Hebrew language in Soviet Russia. Senator Borah expressed special concern over the tragic lot of Zionists in Russia, declaring: “This wrong should be ended and ended speedily.”

Dr. Wise, who sailed for Europe Sunday on the Aquitania, stated that during his stay in Europe he will further the purpose of securing an amelioration of the conditions affecting the Jewish population in Russia.
