Boris Shub, a prominent American Jewish writer on Soviet affairs and a pioneer in radio broadeasting to Communist countries, died here yesterday at the age of 52. He was one of the principal organizers of Radio Liberty, a foreign language station that beams broadcasts to Communist nations from Western Europe.
Born in New York City, Mr. Shub became a popular writer on Soviet and Communist affairs. During the Second World War he served as an editor at the Institute of Jewish Affairs and in 1943 published a book entitled, “Hitler’s 10-Year War on the Jews.” His father, David Shub, is a member of the editorial board of the Jewish Daily Forward and is a noted biographer of Lenin.
