Virgil W. Peterson, head of the Boston office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, declined to comment today on reports that a roundup of Christian Front terrorists in New York would be duplicated in the Boston area.

The activities of individual members of the Christian Front in Boston have been under scrutiny for some time by F.B.I. agents. It was learned, however, that no roundup is being contemplated for the time being at least.

John Cassidy, one of the men arrested in the New York raids by the F.B.I., addressed a meeting of 3,000 Christian Front sympathizers at the Boston Arena last October, it was recalled here. He was introduced by Francis B. Moran, C.F. organizer in New England.

The Boston office of the C.F. is in Copley Square Hotel. Meetings are held Monday nights in Roxbury. Prominent among members is Mrs. Hannah Connors, of Milton, who is head of the Real Estate Taxpayers’ Association.
