Boston Jewish Community Council of Metropolitan Boston has announced its opposition to efforts to reintroduce prayers in the public schools. “These actions (by several Massachusetts communities),” a resolution adopted by the Council said, “are taken in defiance both of the United States Supreme Court decision of 1962 and (a) Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruling of 1964,” the Boston Jewish Advocate reported.
