The expansion drive for Beth Israel Hospital has raised $6,937,000 toward its $7,500,000 goal, Irving M. Rabb, chairman of the hospital’s development committee, announced at the institution’s annual dinner.
Mr. Rabb paid tribute to the “extraordinary response from the trustees and other members of the community which has made possible the pledging of such an enormous sum in the space of a few months.” He pointed out that since the committee’s last report in September, an additional $1,637,500 has been raised toward completion of the drive which will enable the hospital to construct two new buildings and renovate three older structures.
