A gift of $100, 000 by Harry Rogal, Boston philanthropist, toward the Compton Chemical Institute at the Haifa Technion, was announced here today by the local chapter of the American Technion Society. Ground breaking for the Compton Building will be held in Haifa, June 16, the announcement said.
“Mr. Rogal’s gift made possible the start on this building, which is so vital to the chemical industry in Israel,” Abraham Shlager, president of the Boston chapter of the American Technion Society, declared. He announced that a testimonial dinner will be tendered to Mr. Rogal on May 24, on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
