Samuel Leventhal, prominent chairman clubman, has been installed as president of the Congregation Tifereth Israel. Other officers are Samuel I. Ginsberg, Jacob Danicls, Abraham A. Simons, and Julius Lewis. Trustees include Jacob Allen, Henry Levine and Myer Simons.
The Chamelnick Association, a fraterual and charitale group, held its annual installation of officers at the Dorchester Plaza, Dorchester. Aaron Katz became president and J. N. Aronson became treasurer. Saul Gross, of Brooklyn, N. Y., was guest speaker.
The Junior Auior Auxiliary of the Jewish Tuberculosis Sanatorium will sponsor a music featival and dance in aid of the building fund, on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at the Roxbury Memorial High School.
Leading Orthodox rabbis of New England and members of the Council of Orthodox Rabbis participated in the celebration of the 30the anniversary of the Chofetz Chaim Evrio Hebrew School at the North Russell St. Synagogue, West End. Addresses were delivered by Rabbi Joseph ber Soloveitsik, Rabbi J. M. Friedman, (Rabbi D. M. Rabinowitz and Rabbi Jacob Pronmen.
