Box Attacks Russian Jews

At the hearing before the House Immigration Committee today, Congressman Box, member of the Committee, read a prepared statement into the record tending to demonstrate that the greatest dangers to civilization lie in the large cities of the world. He submitted statistics, he show the tendencies of certain nationalities to settle in large cities. According to these statistics, he said, this tendency is strongest in the Russian Jew, 85% of all Russian Jews in America cling to big city life.

Congressman Phillips of Pennsylvania made a fiery speech in favor of restriction of immigration. He alleged that a free influx of aliens would result in the deterioration of our standards of citizenship.
