The Synagogue Council of America today issued a proclamation naming the Sabbath beginning February 5, 1943 as Boy Scout Sabbath, which will be observed in synagogues throughout the country, as part of Jewish participation in the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. The proclamation will be sent to all rabbis in America.

Suggestions for the sabbath services are being prepared by the National Jewish Committee on Scouting of which Frank Weil is president. Many synagogues which do not sponsor Troops will conduct Boy Scout services, inviting Jewish boys who are members of other troops in the community.
