Clashes are taking place between student boycott pickets and would-be customers and shopkeepers, and in some cases the pickets are being arrested for obstruction.

In the Marszalkowska and Nowy Swiat streets National Democratic students blocked the entrances to Jewish shops for hours to-day, refusing to allow any Christians to enter. Four students were arrested but were released after they had produced their papers.

The windows of a number of shops in the centre of the city have been daubed with the word “Jew”.

Jewish shopkeepers are complaining to-day of falling trade on account of the boycott.
