All Jewish boys born this month in the city of Rovno, Poland, will be named Josef, after the late Marshal Josef Pilsudski, the Rabbinate of Rovno decided today.
The city of Rovno has a Jewish population of more than 50,000. It is one of the largest cities in Volhynia and is located not far from the Soviet frontier.
