Brandeis University has completed more than half of its national development campaign to provide $65,100,000 for the university’s future growth, John M. Linsey, a trustee and national campaign chairman, reported today. He said $37,000,000 had been pledged to date.
The drive, which was initiated in February 1962, received a $6,000,000 gift from the Ford Foundation on a matching basis of three dollars for each Ford dollar. Linsey said the Ford announcement had already resulted in national support from the university’s backers to match the Ford gift with the additional $18,000,000 needed in cash.
