An exchange of gifted students between Brandeis University and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology will be made possible through a $75,000 endowment trust established by the family of a New York industrialist, Henry F. Fischbach, to honor his 75th birthday, it was announced here. Mr. Fischbach, a Fellow of Brandeis, has also been a close supporter of the American Technion Society. The program is mainly intended for the exchange of graduate students concentrating in the fields for which Brandeis and Technion are most renowned.
It was also announced here that Brandeis University has received a Ford Foundation grant of $170,000 for a survey of attitudes toward race-related riots and demonstrations, it was announced here last night. The project will be undertaken by the university’s newly-established Center for the Study of Violence, which has been underwritten by Samuel Lemberg, a New York realtor and a trustee of Brandeis.
