A $250,000 gift has been contributed to the scholarship funds of Brandeis University by Samuel M. Klivansky, former president of the Jewish Community Federation of Lynn, Mass., and Mrs. Klivansky.
Part of the sum will be used to assist students from Massachusetts North Shore communities while the remainder of the gift will be made available for a Brandeis student to study in Israel or for an Israeli to come to Brandeis.
Scholarships given to students from Salem, Mass., will be a memorial to Tina and Harry Albert, Mrs. Klivansky’s parents, who lived there. All other scholarships will be dedicated to the memory of John and Rose Klivansky, Mr. Klivansky’s parents.
