Abba Eban, Israel Ambassador to the United States and head of the Israel delegation to the United Nations was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by Brandeis University yesterday. Dr. Israel Goldstein was another of the recipients of an honorary degree.
Ambassador Eban delivered the commencement address at the seventh commencement exercises. Eleven honorary degrees were awarded, 220 graduates received baccalaureate degrees, 30 were named Masters of Arts and seven received Ph. D. degrees.
