With the support of a grant from the Charles E. Merrill Trust, the Philip W. Lown Graduate Center for Contemporary Jewish Studies at Brandeis University is offering a post-graduate award for research in Jewish Studies. Professor Leon A. Jick, Director of the Lown Graduate Center, announced that the fellowships, in amounts up to $5,000, would be available to researchers pursuing work which would contribute to the field of Judaic knowledge. Particular consideration will be given to research which will strengthen the teaching of Judaica in American universities.
