A new public works program for beautification of Bratislava, capital of Nazi-controlled Slovakia, has been officially launched by the Slovak Government, which declares that the first step will be the razing of the city’s historic synagogue and the entire ghetto. The Government declaration fails to state what provisions will be made to provide new living quarters for Bratislava’s Jewish population.
