An order banning the mailing of Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” anywhere in Brazil, or the importation of the book, was issued here today by Helio de Almeida, Minister of Communications. The order was issued to the Postal Administration and to all port authorities.
With this order, Brazilian import, sale, distribution or mailing of the Hitler book, in any language and from any source, becomes complete. Candido de Oliveira, Minister of the Interior, had already banned the sale or distribution of a Portuguese-language edition of “Mein Kampf,” printed recently at Sao Paulo.
