The National Council for Immigration and Colonization, it was announced today, has increased the Hungarian and Polish immigration quotas by 3,000 each annually. Action followed intervention by local Hungarian and Polish representatives. Eighty per cent of the quotas will be earmarked for agriculturalists who must pledge to remain on the land a minimum of four years.
