The Emergency Campaign directed in Brazil by two Israeli delegates today reached three-quarters of its goal, which is ten-times more than all of the drives together over conducted here for Palestine,. It is expected that the quota will be obtained soon. The drive is directed by G. Zuchowitzky and Y. Tchornitzky.
The recent visit in Brazil of representatives of the Joint Distribution Committee, headed by J.B. Lightman, director of the J.D.C. office for Latin America, gave impetus to the launching of a drive on behalf of the J.D.C. in this country. Goals of $150,000 for Rio de Janeiro and $250,000 for Sao Paulo have been set. The drive will begin in Rio before the end of this month and in this city during September
