Brazil and Israel today signed a supplementary agreement for technical and economic assistance to be given by Israel, increasing Israel’s aid in the underdeveloped areas of Northeast Brazil, The pact was signed on behalf of Brazil by Foreign Minister Hermes Lima and for Israel by Ambassador Arieh Eshel.
It provides for more Israeli experts in the northeast areas, where Israel will establish a model collective settlement, similar to Israel’s moshavim. Israel has had experts assisting the development of the northeast areas for some time now.
