Brazilian artist Raul Saijo walked off today with the $1,000 first prize in Israel’s international postage stamp design contest. All entries were required to deal with a Biblical subject.
Second prize went to Sewrin Jasinski of Warsaw, while the third was split between Leonard Mitchell of Wilmington, New Zealand, and Wolf Zimmermann of Dusseldorf, Germany. Artists from 24 countries submitted entries.
