The Commission for the Permanency of Foreigners in Brazil, four-man body appointed by President Vargas to pass on the cases of an estimated 4,800 refugees who entered on tourist visas and remained illegally, has decided favorably the fate of several hundred of the exiles. The commission is working ten hours daily examining affidavits, police statements, etc., of the exiles.
