An order forbidding the sale and circulation of a newly published, Portuguese translation of Adolf Hitler’s "Mein Kampf" was issued here today by Alfredo Nasser, Brazilian Minister of Justice.
The book, published in Portugal, was re-issued at Sao Paulo three weeks ago. The Council of Jewish Communities in Brazil appealed to the Ministry of Justice to halt the book’s sale. According to the publisher, Felipe Mestre Jou, he had received many telephone threats since issuing the book. He has asked Sao Paulo police to protect him.
